The organizing committee for the 17th Annual Global Partners in Education Conference invites educators and researchers to submit proposals for presentations that align with this year’s theme: “Fostering Cross-Cultural Awareness for Education.” We seek innovative and impactful contributions that explore best practices, research findings, and initiatives aimed at preparing students for success in a globally interconnected world.

Topics of Interest:

Global Education Initiatives: Presentations on successful global education programs and initiatives (including GPE activities and other global education initiatives) that have enhanced cross-cultural awareness among students. Proposals should emphasize practical strategies and outcomes.

Intercultural Competence: We welcome submissions that explore the development of intercultural competence in educational settings. This may include research findings, curriculum development, and pedagogical approaches that foster a deeper understanding of diverse cultures.

Technology in Cross-Cultural Education: Explore the role of technology in promoting cross-cultural awareness. Submissions may include innovative uses of virtual platforms, online collaborations, and immersive experiences that bridge cultural gaps in education.

Teacher Training: Share insights into the importance of providing educators with training and resources to integrate cross-cultural awareness into their teaching practices. Proposals should highlight successful professional development programs.

Case Studies: Present case studies that showcase successful implementation of cross-cultural education programs, emphasize measurable outcomes, challenges faced, and lessons learned.

Submission Deadline: Thursday, February 22, 2024

Acceptance Notification: Thursday, March 14th, 2024

At least one author must attend GPE 17 in person to present. Presentations will be allotted up to 15 minutes with additional time for Q&A. Due to time constraints, some who submit presentation proposals may be asked to do a poster instead. For those doing a poster, a template will be provided.
